This way you protect yourself, and the only people who could possibly lose are the ones trying to sell you a home with a defect in it!
Tip #2: Craft Your Offer Carefully
After you have found a home that you think you would like to purchase, be sure that when making your offer, you check to be sure it contains all that you want to say.
I recommend that you get a Lawyer, Notary Public, or a Realtor to craft your offer. This way nothing will slip through the cracks and your huge investment (The biggest one of your life so far) will be protected.
Tip #3: Get A Lawyer, Notary Public, Or Realtor To Look Over ALL Of Your Paperwork
(Over halfway through these house buying tips!)
Whether you are crafting your offer, or looking through your sellers counter-offers, you need to make sure that one of these experienced professionals has a chance to look through your paperwork.
Unless you have all the knowledge that they have (I know you are smart, but they have spent years learning this stuff), then there is a good chance that you will miss out on things that a professional will know to look for.
So don't skimp out in this area. Pay the extra, and in return you will be saved from bad investments and headaches that simply cause stress (And no one needs more of that!)
Tip #4: Apply For a Grant To Get Lower Taxes
This tip is actually useful even if you already own a home. I have written an Article On Grants that will let you know about each of the separate homeowner grants.
You should at least apply for the Basic Grant, as it can save you money on your property taxes.
Tip #5: Hire A Realtor
As I mentioned above, getting a Realtor, Lawyer, or Notary can help you out with a lot of the paperwork.
But what about all the things that don't need paperwork? What about deciding exactly which type of house you need? What about getting all the inspections and being notified upfront of all the taxes you need to pay? What about getting your home in the MLS?
I've only just scratched the surface here on what a Realtor can help you with, but it is of utmost importance that you hire a lawyer to help you with your Chilliwack BC Real Estate.
A good Realtor can help make your move smooth and quick, and can save you from any bad purchases and sales; although a bad one can really mess up your affairs.
Hopefully these house buying tips have given you a bit of information to help you with the purchase of your new home.
